Leh Airport (Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport) is well-connected to major cities in India like Delhi, Mumbai, Jammu, and Srinagar through direct flights. Flying to Leh is the most convenient option for most visitors. - By Road:
- Manali to Leh Highway: The Manali-Leh Highway is open from June to September and offers a stunning road trip through the mountains, passing through Rohtang Pass, Baralacha La, and Tanglang La.
- Srinagar to Leh Highway: The Srinagar-Leh Highway also opens in the summer months and offers a scenic route through Zoji La Pass and Kargil.
- Road trips to Leh are challenging due to high altitudes and remote areas, but they provide an adventurous experience for travellers.
- By Train:
There are no direct rail connections to Leh. However, the nearest railway stations are in Jammu or Kashmir, from where you can take a bus or taxi to reach Leh.
